Move well before you load admin February 6, 2020 Exercises View this post on Instagram Move well before you load! Before you perform overhead or pressing motions make sure you or or client can achieve overhead reaching cleanly. If overhead reaching isn’t possible without compensatory patterns (shrugging, leaning backwards, or increased lumbar lordosis), then attack the under lying impairments and try a reinforcement pattern like this to achieve a clean overhead reach. Make sure you’ve worked on abdominal activation, lat length, and thoracic spine mobility. Keep your abdominals braced, do not shrug, or let your ribs flare. Keep breathing! Once your moving cleanly load those movements up! #collabwithKyle #theracorept #yourPTyourdecision #physicaltherapy #apta #moveforwardpt #getpt1st #movewellmoveoften #bridgethegap A post shared by Kyle Kibler PT, DPT, CSCS (@dr.kyle.dpt) on Feb 5, 2020 at 2:13pm PST Post navigation Previous Previous post: Shoulder StabilityNext Next post: Bottoms Up Kettlebell Floor Press
